A hugely entertaining study of satirical prints in London from 1770 to 1830, lavishly illustrated with nearly 300 prints. It was a time of outrageous behaviour, sexual freedom and all kinds of licentiousness, which gave lots of ammunition for the artists and printsellers. The prints could say so much more than could be said in writing, and no one was immune from attack, including the Prince Regent and the politicians. Anyone interested in 18th century London will enjoy this book. Highly recommended
