Roman Pottery Production in the Walbrook Valley by Fiona Seeley & James Drummond-Murray

A report of the excavations carried out at 20-28 Moorgate from 1998-2000, which uncovered important new evidence of 2nd century Roman pottery production.  Up to eight kilns were found and stock of unused samian ware which suggested there was a shop attached to the workshop.  The discovery has led to a reassessment of the pottery supply in London.
